How SMS works on Versyn Bid

Versyn Bid is software used by contractors — plumbers, HVAC techs, electricians, roofers, painters, and other trades — to send price quotes ("bids") to their customers. Some contractors choose to send those bids over text instead of email.

This page explains exactly how SMS works on Versyn Bid: who consents to what, when, and how to stop receiving messages.

The customer SMS flow, step by step

When a contractor sends a bid through Versyn Bid, their customer receives a text with a link to review and sign the bid. Before any bid SMS is sent, the customer receives a one-time consent message and must reply YES.

Step 1: The contractor adds the customer

Inside Versyn Bid, the contractor enters their customer's name and phone number. The contractor sees this notice when they do it:

By providing this customer's phone number, you confirm they have agreed to receive SMS messages from your business about their bid. Versyn Bid will send them a one-time consent text first — no other messages are sent until they reply YES.

The contractor also ticks a checkbox confirming the customer agreed to receive texts about their bid. If they haven't asked yet, they can leave it unchecked and send the consent text later.

Step 2: The customer receives a one-time consent SMS

Versyn Bid sends a single text from a 10DLC-registered phone number:

Versyn Bid: [Contractor Name] would like to text you bid updates. Reply YES to opt in or STOP to decline. Msg&data rates may apply.

What the customer receives

If the customer doesn't reply YES, no further messages are sent. The contractor receives a notification in the app that the customer has not opted in, and the contractor can deliver the bid by email instead.

Step 3: The customer replies YES

If the customer replies YES, they're now opted in. Versyn Bid records the timestamp and the YES response.

Step 4: The customer receives the bid SMS

Now (and only now), the bid SMS arrives:

Versyn Bid: Hi [Customer Name], [Contractor Business Name] sent you a bid for "[Job Title]". Review and sign: https://bid.versyn.ai/bid/[unique-link]. Reply STOP to unsubscribe.

The customer taps the link, reviews the bid, and can accept, decline, or request changes — right from their phone.

Step 5: After accepting or declining

Once the customer responds to the bid (accept, decline, or request changes), no further SMS is sent. Versyn Bid does not send marketing texts, follow-up texts, or promotional messages. SMS is strictly transactional and tied to the specific bid being delivered.

How to stop receiving messages

Reply STOP to any message. You'll receive one confirmation that you've been unsubscribed, and no further texts.

To get help, reply HELP to any message. You'll receive a short message with a support email and a link to the SMS terms:

Versyn Bid: Reply STOP to unsubscribe. For help, email support@versyn.ai or visit bid.versyn.ai/sms-terms. Msg&Data Rates May Apply.

You can also email support@versyn.ai at any time.

Message frequency

1 consent message + 1 bid delivery message per bid. If the contractor sends a follow-up bid (a separate quote), the consent flow does not repeat — but every individual bid is one message. Typical customer receives 1–3 messages total in their relationship with their contractor.

Message and data rates may apply. SMS service is provided on T-Mobile, AT&T, Verizon, and other major U.S. carriers via Twilio.
